The Art of Persuasion exhibition of prints is traveling to Westchester Community College in Valhalla, NY.  The presentation will be made in the Fine Arts Gallery in the campus’ Academic Arts Gallery.  The exhibit will be open to the public during normal business hours from January 22, 2008 through March 1, 2008.   

Printmakers participating in the exhibition include Linda Adato, Marshall Arisman, Kristine Bouyoucos, Ann Chernow, Zev Deans, Avraham Eilat, Stephen A. Fredericks, Danny Hauben, Art Hazelwood, Frances Jetter, Denise Kasof, Mattias Kerns, Brian Knoerzer, Rosalee Isaly, Sue Leopard, Bill Maxwell, Diane Miller, Josh McPhee, Louis Netter, Joan O’Connor, Rick Pantell, Sarah Sears, Bruce Waldman, Barbara Wilson, Barbara Wilson, and Bruce Waldman. 

The extended tour of the exhibition will include travel to Loyola University Museum of Art in Chicago in the fall of 2008.  Also in the fall of 2008 The New York Society of Etchers will present, at The National Arts Club, a final recast format of the exhibition to be known as The Art of Democracy.   

The Art of Democracy will be a part of a national coalition of exhibitions led by organizers Art Hazelwood in San Francisco, California and the New York Society of Etchers. The coalition effort will include prints and a promotional poster exchange between all of the participating artist printmaking groups.  Interested artists, print workshops and exhibiting societies should contact info@artofdemocracy.org.
